A freelance photojournalist based in London, she focuses on long-term documentary projects exploring social, political, and human stories. Originally from Argentina, she combines a strong academic background with an in-depth documentary approach, holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in History from Buenos Aires, and a Master's degree in Photojournalism from London.

Her work has received international recognition, including being named by TIME Magazine as one of the nine Argentinian photographers to follow in 2015. Her photobook Back to the Future was selected by TIME Magazine as one of the best photobooks of 2014.

Her awards and honors include the Ian Parry Scholarship, the Emerging Photographer Fund by Burn Magazine and Magnum Foundation, the Sony World Photography Awards, the Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Award, World Press Photo, the UNICEF Photo of the Year Award, the Preus Museum Award, and the Sony World Photography Latin America Professional Award. She has also been a Pulitzer Center grantee (2020–2022) and was named a National Geographic Explorer in 2022.
